Tabuena had the opportunity to clinch the title but came up short with a birdie putt on the 18th hole of the final round to finish 3-under-par and tied with Bayron at a record 23-under overall.
On the par-5 16th second playoff hole, Bayron used a 4-iron to land his second shot from 210 yards away three feet from the pin. A birdie by Bayron was enough to clinch the 2013 ICTSI Camp John Hay Championship, which marks his first ICTSI Philippine Golf Tour win in over two years.
Tabuena had a very impressive run, who went bogey-free the first 54-holes despite coming down with a stomach virus on Friday, but just couldn’t close it out on the final day.
Bayron takes home PhP450,000.00 for his efforts.
