Zurich Classic Round 3 Recap: Lucas Glover Maintains Lead

glover337.jpgLucas Glover shot a 2-under-par 70 with a birdie on the 18th hole to hold a two stroke lead going into the final round of the Zurich Classic. The 2009 U.S. Open winner, who now sits at 14-under-par overall is one round away from taking home the winning share of US$1,188,000.00.

Kyle Stanley, Jimmy Walker, Billy Horschel and D.A. Points are all currently tied for second.

Guan Tianlang, the 14-year-old Chinese amateur, finally played his age (kind of…) when he shot a 77 to drop to 2-over-par overall and last amongst the 71 players who made the cut.

Ernie Els and 2012 Masters Champion, Bubba Watson, both shot and even-par 72 for the day to sit 8-under and 6-under-par overall.

Other notables include Justin Rose who sits T-11th at 9-under-par overall, defending champ, Jason Dufner who is one stroke back at 8-under-par and Rickie Fowler who dropped to T-46th at 5-under-par overall going into Sunday’s final round.

An expected storm has prompted Zurich Classic tournament officials to move the start times up to between 8 – 10:00AM.
