The Players’ Championship (Round 2 Recap)

Wells Fargo Championship - Round One

Twas a day of low scores. Sergio Garcia shot his best score yet at TPC Sawgrass with a 7-under-par 66 to take the lead with a 11-under overall score at The Players Championship.

Garcia was straight money on Friday. He didn’t miss a fairway and putted for birdie on every hole on the back nine and made seven straight putts on the front nine- five of them from about 15 feet or longer.

Woods duplicated his 5-under-par first round score on Friday and is sitting 10-under overall 134, his best 36-hole total at this tournament. He currently sits one stroke behind Garcia in second place.

Lee Westwood made a late charged capped off with an eagle on the 11th and is now T-3rd with Kevin Chappell and Hennrik Stenson.

2013 Masters’ champ, Adam Scott, continued his great play and is now T-9th at 7-under overall with Matt Kuchar, Hunter Mahan and Zach Johnson.

Mulligang’s horse, Rory McIlroy, was just “meh” on Friday shooting even-par for the round and is now T-13th with still a 6-under overall score.

77 players made the cut going into the weekend. That unfortunately didn’t include Phil Mickelson, PGA-suing jerk, Vijay Singh, Ian Poulter, Rickie Fowler and Mulligang’s two picks, Nick Watney and Justin Rose.

Gonna stop picking Rose… he keeps letting me down 😦

Tiger probably has this in the bag but still pulling for Rory to make it a competition.
